How does Habitat homeownership work?
Habitat makes homeownership possible for hardworking people who are priced out of the market. Future homeowners qualify based on need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner. They prepare through homebuyer education and walk alongside Habitat as active partners in the process.
Buyers purchase their homes with a mortgage tailored to their budget. Broad community support covers the gap between what it costs Habitat to build and what local families can afford. Together, we build homes, communities, and hope in Central Oregon.
