Join Habitat and Bend YIMBY at the Bend ReStore to learn and celebrate Black History Month. We’ll go over a brief history of housing discrimination, and then you’ll hear from Riccardo Waites regarding his work on the Good Deeds project. The Project aims to find racially biased land covenants and offer homeowners/landowners the tools to have them removed from their deeds. Our own Scott Nordquist and DeeDee Johnson will also discuss Habitat’s work toward advancing black homeownership in our community.
