Church partners with bend-redmond habitat for humanity to sponsor home – KTVZ

BEND, Ore. – bend-redmond habitat for humanity for Humanity is thrilled to be selected as a nonprofit partner of New Hope Church.  In February, New Hope Church became a Habitat House Sponsor with a $20,000 donation, and also committed to a minimum 200 volunteer hours building on the sponsored house.

Brandon Blumberg, Lead Pastor at New Hope Church, said, “Our vision at New Hope Church is to Connect – Grow – Reach. Partnering with Habitat for Humanity was a perfect fit and one way we can share God’s love to those in our community.

“Our desire to connect to our community and to have a positive impact on not only our area but on individuals within the community is what drives us to get involved.

“New Hope Church is a place where people matter, it is one of our core values and we are thrilled to pass this on to those who are a part of and living in our community.  We have a church full of service-oriented people who want to love on this family and we can’t wait to get started.”

Robin Cooper Engle, Director of Development for bend-redmond habitat for humanity for Humanity, said, “Partnering with the community is what makes bend-redmond habitat for humanity for Humanity successful and it is what we are all about.

“Habitat can’t build or serve without the support from incredibly generous people who give of their time, energy and financial resources to make it possible for lives to be transformed through affordable homeownership. We are extremely pleased with the commitment of New Hope Church and are excited to get building!”
