Community Service

Need court-ordered community service hours? Please email volunteer@brhabitat.org and include ‘Community Service’ in the subject line.

Construction Volunteer Pathway

The Construction Volunteer program offers regular opportunities on our new-construction job sites. Tasks vary depending on what is happening on site that day, but there is something for everyone and full-time supervision and leadership to help you accomplish any task! No experience is needed, just a willingness to learn. Come join us and build quality, energy-efficient housing for qualified families and individuals in need.

  • Sites open year round:
    • Monday – Friday
    • First two Saturdays of every month
  • We have full-day and half-day shifts available:
    • 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM with lunch from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
    • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Build sites may be in Bend or Redmond depending on our active construction projects
  • Safety orientation, tool training, and PPE provided on-site.
  • Must be 18 years or older

ReStore Volunteer Pathway

The ReStore Volunteer program offers regular opportunities at our Bend ReStore with a variety of tasks from cashiering to helping with receiving, being a greeter, merchandising, and more! Come join our staff and other volunteers to help us support affordable homeownership in our community.

  • Opportunities available Monday – Saturday
  • Morning and afternoon shifts offered:
    • 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
    • 12:00 – 4:00 PM
  • Must be 16 years or older to volunteer on your own. Those as young as 14-years old may volunteer alongside a parent or guardian.

Partner Family Financial Coach

Walk alongside future homeowners as they partner with Habitat to prepare for homeownership. Help them gain confidence in budgeting, saving, and setting financial goals—training provided.

  • Serve a 12–15 month term or until home purchase
  • Meet monthly with your assigned family (virtual or in-person)
  • Attend 2–3 annual group trainings & orientation (flexible schedule)
  • Must be at least 21-years old
  • Background in finance or coaching helpful but not required

Administrative Volunteer Pathway

Support our mission behind the scenes! Admin volunteers help ensure our office runs smoothly and efficiently, assisting with everything from data entry to donor mailings.

  • Flexible weekday shifts at our Bend office
  • Great fit for detail-oriented folks or those who prefer a quieter setting
  • Tasks may include filing, organizing, data input, thanking donors, and more
  • Training provided on systems like Bloomerang and Google Suite
  • Must be 18 years or older
